You and I forever.
Times like this forver.
Sun upon our faces.
Trips to random places.
4 A.M. conversations.
Secret operations.
Rooftop view at midnight.
Perceptive drunken insight.
Unrestricted feeling.
Winning, losing, dealing.
Last minute decisions.
Major life revisions.
Questioning what's right.
Living for the night.
Missing late December.
The times you can't remember.
Another wild ride.
Sleeping by your side.
Learning who to trust.
Giving in to lust.
Existential contemplatation.
Self transformation.
You and I forever.
Times like this forever.
But who knew forever had to end.
I'd rather end this now,
Than have it fade away.
Rather a violent fit of passion,
Have you mean the things you say.
I'd rather have our loving,
Falsely give way to hate,
Than have it turn indifferent,
As we leave it up to fate.
And when I think about you,
Twenty years from now,
I hope emotion runs with fervor.
I hope I still think, "Wow."
Mine own heart the worst of villans,
Telling me lie after lie,
Making me believe,
You'll no longer make me cry.
Feeding me my fantasies,
Luring me blindly in,
Clouded with desire,
Giving me my sin.
Yes, I deceive myself.
Oh, I'm the only one to blame.
I let myself be drawn,
Far too close to the flame.
What happens when "I love you,"
Becomes less than true?
And your heart begins to question,
Everything you do.
What happens when "forever,"
Suddenly, isn't so ideal?
And all you do is waiver,
Over how you really feel.
It's so easy to emerce yourself,
When loving is so blind.
But when your eyes flash open,
Heart gives way to mind.
Let no mistake be made,
Your love is always there.
But what happens when,
You find yourself,
Asking, "Where?"
Kiss me in the morning,
Just like yesterday.
I'll see you soon at sunset,
But forget you along the way.
Tell me that I'm beautiful,
Tell me with your kiss.
Tell me that you love me,
And that heaven feels like this.
And when morning wakes you early,
There's no need to leave a note.
Save your wasted words,
I won't read the things you wrote.
Gather up your clothes,
And sneak out the back door.
I'd tell you that I'll miss you,
But there's no pretending anymore.
Tell me that you need me,
And that your love is true.
Just don't expect the world from me,
Cause I just can't love you too.
Kiss me in the morning,
And hold on to the
Cold, cracked mirror,
Thrown on the ground.
My head's too heavy,
To wear this crown.
The pressure's too great,
To be your beauty queen.
And yea, I can't wait,
To up and leave this scene.
Black nailpolish,
All over the place.
Black eyeliner,
Running down my face.
Smile so pretty,
Will soon be gone.
Last night I forgot,
To put the whitener on.
Tangled, uncombed,
Blown everywhere.
Yea, it's been a while,
Since I dyed my hair.
Ratty old T-shirt,
Turned white to gray.
I just don't feel like,
Getting dressed today.
Just sit there and smile,
No need to speak.
Yea, it's been a while,
And one hell of a week.
And my crown's
Splash of blue eyeshadow,
And one more take.
Is everything else,
In life this fake?
To look in the mirror,
And hate what you see.
Wish I didn't look like me.
Head to toe costume,
You wear it like chains.
Do you think that you'll ever,
Take hold of the reins?
Ready and waiting,
Don't miss your cue.
The burden is heavy,
When it's all on you.
Don't move an inch,
'Til the cameras are done.
Every shot they take's,
With a loaded gun.

Why I Can't Sleep Tonight
Over in my head,
I play out the scene:
Lying in your bed,
music so serene.
Song on permanent play,
Holding to unspoken words,
As night turns into day.
A kiss, a glance, the whispered truth.
So crystalline, yet unclear,
Exactly how this tale will end.
And slowly greater grows my fear,
Of losing my best friend.
